BLACK RASPBERRY GIN & MONTELLIER GRAPEFRUIT

Grapefruit and raspberry, does that sound good to you? Try this unique combination: Black Raspberry Gin by Comont – Master Distillers with Montellier Grapefruit Sparkling Water.

INGREDIENTS

For the simple syrup (Makes about 1 1/2 cups (375ml), which can be used for other recipes)

1 cup (250 ml) sugar

1 cup (250 ml) water

For the cocktail

1 lime wedge

1 lemon wedge

1 orange wedge

1 slice of grapefruit

1 sprig of rosemary

0.75 oz simple syrup

2 oz Comont Black Raspberry Gin

Top with Montellier Grapefruit Sparkling Water

 

INSTRUCTIONS

For the simple syrup:

1. In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup (250 ml) of sugar and 1 cup (250 ml) of water to a boil.

2. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the liquid is clear and syrupy, about 3 minutes. Let cool.

You will get about 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) of simple syrup, which can be used for other recipes. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

For the cocktail:

1. Using a citrus press, extract the juice from the lime, lemon, and orange wedges into a measuring cup.

2. Pour the juice into a cocktail shaker.

3. Add 0.75 oz of simple syrup and 2 oz of Black Raspberry Gin.

4. Add a few ice cubes and shake well!

5. Strain the cocktail mixture into your glass of choice, ensuring you use a fine strainer for a smooth finish.

6. Top with a generous 1/3 cup of chilled Montellier Grapefruit Sparkling Water.

7. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and a slice of grapefruit.

Note: Cocktails can be prepared a few days in advance. Add Montellier Sparkling Water just before serving. Enjoy!
