OFFICIAL RULES
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE OFFICIAL RULES (HEREINAFTER, THE “RULES”) BEFORE ENTERING THE “WIN A MONTELLIER KAYAK” CONTEST ORGANIZED BY MONTELLIER CANADA (HEREINAFTER, THE “CONTEST ORGANIZERS”). BY ENTERING THIS CONTEST, PARTICIPANTS CONFIRM THAT THEY MEET ALL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH BELOW AND AGREE TO COMPLY FULLY WITH THESE RULES AND TO ABIDE BY ALL DECISIONS OF THE CONTEST ORGANIZERS, WHICH ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATING TO THIS CONTEST, EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED HEREIN.
CONTEST PERIOD
The “WIN A MONTELLIER KAYAK” contest (the “Contest”) is held by MONTELLIER CANADA (the “Contest Organizers”) and runs both in-store and online from May 19, 2025, to September 7, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (ET) (the “Contest Period”).
ELIGIBILITY
- This contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry. Employees, representatives, and agents of the Contest Organizers, any affiliated companies, corporations, trusts, or other legal entities controlled by or associated with them, advertising and promotional agencies, prize, material, and service providers related to this Contest, as well as their immediate family members (siblings, children, parents), legal or common-law spouse, and any persons residing with such employees, representatives, and agents are not eligible.
HOW TO ENTER

3.1 Fill out the “WIN A MONTELLIER KAYAK” entry form on the Montellier website.
ENTRY LIMITS
- Participants must respect the following limits or risk disqualification:
4.1 Participants may enter only once by submitting their information through the contest entry form.
PRIZE
- One (1) inflatable kayak branded with the Montellier logo, including accessories, valued at $300.
DRAWING
- The draw will be held at the Montellier offices (Contest Organizers) located in Québec at 9:00 a.m. (ET) on September 8, 2025. One (1) winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
- Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
PRIZE CLAIM
- To be declared a winner and receive the prize, the selected entrant must:
8.1 Be contacted by email by the Contest Organizers within five (5) business days following the draw. The winner will have 72 hours to respond, failing which another entrant may be selected.
8.2 If the selected participant fails to comply with the Rules, declines the prize, or is found ineligible in any way, they will be disqualified and forfeit the prize. In such a case, the Contest Organizers may, at their sole discretion, cancel the prize or select another eligible entry at random from the remaining eligible entries.
8.3 The winner will receive the prize by mail on a date determined by the Contest Organizers.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Participant Identification
- The participant is the individual whose name appears on the entry form and will be the one to receive the prize if selected and declared a winner.
Personal Information
- Authorization. By entering this contest, any selected participant authorizes the Contest Organizers and their representatives to use, if necessary, their name, photo, image, voice, place of residence, and/or statements regarding the prize for promotional purposes without compensation.
- Privacy. Personal information collected during this contest will only be used for administering the contest unless the participant has otherwise consented. The data will be deleted from the company’s database after the contest ends.
Contest Participation
- Disqualification / Legal Recourse. The Contest Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any person or cancel one or more entries if they attempt to participate using means contrary to these Rules or unfair to others (e.g., exceeding the entry limit). Any attempt to sabotage the legitimate operation of the contest is a violation of civil and criminal law.
- Amendment. The Contest Organizers reserve the right, at their discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the contest in part or in whole in the event of any situation or human intervention that may affect the proper administration or fairness of the contest, subject to approval from the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if required.
- Early Termination. Should the contest end in whole or in part before the official end date for any reason, the selection of entries may occur from eligible entries received up to the point of termination.
By entering, each eligible participant acknowledges that the contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with grocery banners or any of their affiliates, and that the Contest Organizers are solely responsible for the conduct of the contest, including winner selection and prize distribution.
PRIZE CONDITIONS
- Limit. Under no circumstances shall the Contest Organizers be required to award more prizes than stated, or in any way other than in accordance with these Rules.
- Acceptance. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred, substituted, or exchanged for cash, except as provided herein.
- Substitution. If awarding the prize becomes impossible, difficult, or overly costly, the Contest Organizers may substitute a prize of similar nature and value or, at their sole discretion, provide the monetary value of the prize or part thereof.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
- Technical issues. The Contest Organizers and related entities are not responsible for any malfunction of computer components, software, or communication lines, nor for any data loss or failed transmissions that may limit a person’s ability to enter or read the Rules.
- Participation. By participating or attempting to participate, individuals release the beneficiaries from any damages they may suffer due to their participation or attempted participation.
- Prize Use. The winner accepts full responsibility for any damages or injuries resulting from accepting or using the prize.
- Prize Warranty. The only applicable warranty is the manufacturer’s standard warranty, if any. Responsibility for the prize transfers to the service or product providers once awarded.
- Website Function. The Contest Organizers make no guarantees regarding uninterrupted or error-free access to the contest website or related platforms.
DECISIONS & DISPUTES
- Final Decision. All decisions by the Contest Organizers or their representatives are final and binding, subject to any ruling from the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec.
- Dispute. For residents of Québec, any dispute about the organization or conduct of this contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for resolution. A dispute about prize distribution may also be submitted for an attempt at resolution.
MISCELLANEOUS
- Severability. If any clause of these Rules is found to be illegal, unenforceable, or invalid, that clause will be deemed null and void, but the rest will remain valid as permitted by law.
- Language. In case of a discrepancy between the English and French versions, the French version shall prevail.
34. Gender. The use of the masculine gender in this document is for simplification only and is intended without discrimination.
